We want you stoked on what you bought. If something's not right, we'll work with you to fix it. Here's how returns, refunds, and damaged or lost orders work.
The short version
Not happy, or your order showed up damaged or wrong? Email contact@danksun.com with your order number within 30 days and we'll sort out a refund or replacement. For hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns of opened product.
01Return Window & Condition
You can request a return within 30 days of delivery.
- Unopened product in its original condition is eligible for a full refund of the product price.
- Opened or used product: because these are skin products, opened items are handled case-by-case at our discretion. If you're not happy with how a product performed, reach out and we'll do our best to make it right with a refund, replacement, or store credit.
02How to Start a Return
Email contact@danksun.com with your order number and a quick note on what's up. We'll reply with next steps and, if a return is needed, the address to send it to. Please don't ship anything back before we've confirmed — it helps us track your refund to the right order.
03How Refunds Work
Approved refunds go back to your original payment method through Stripe, typically within 5–10 business days of us approving the return (or receiving the returned item, if one's being sent back). Depending on your bank or card issuer, it can take a few extra days to appear on your statement.
04Damaged, Wrong, or Lost Orders
If your order arrives damaged, melted beyond use, or it's the wrong item — that's on us, and we'll make it right with a free replacement or full refund, including shipping. Please email us within 14 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the problem so we can sort it quickly (and improve our packaging).
If tracking shows your package as lost or stuck in transit, reach out and we'll help chase it down or send a replacement. Mineral balms can soften in summer heat, which is normal and reversible — but if a product arrives genuinely unusable, we'll replace it.
05What We Can't Take Back
- Product that's been used up or is mostly gone;
- Items marked final sale or clearance, if any;
- Gift cards, if offered;
- Returns requested after the window above has passed.
That said, if you think your situation is an exception, just ask. We'd rather hear from you than lose your trust over a technicality.
06Exchanges
Want a different product instead of a refund — say, a Barrier Butter instead of a Face Fortress? Email us and we'll work out the simplest way to swap, settling any price or shipping difference.
07Return Shipping Costs
If the return is because of our error (damaged, defective, or wrong item), we cover return shipping. For other returns, return shipping is the customer's responsibility, and original shipping charges are non-refundable.]] We'll always tell you which applies when you reach out.
08Local Pickup Orders
If you bought through a local pickup link and got your product hand-to-hand, the same window and conditions apply — just email us, and we'll handle any refund through Stripe or sort a swap in person.
